Happy 50th Mom!

Yesterday it was my Mom's 50th Birthday. Autumn and I took her out to breakfast at IHOP, and then while she was a a doctor's appointment, my dad, Autumn and I put 50 black balloons all over. It was fun to see her reaction when she got home! Later that evening we had a bbq with the family and had some birthday pie.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens...again

We went to the Gardens again the other day. It was pouring down rain, but we went anyway, and it was still fun! Gavin just slept the whole time...he loves his walks! The Gardens were completely empty because we were the only insane ones who wanted to walk around it in the rain! Casey thinks we go there too much, and take the same pictures each time. He says it just looks like we took our old pictures and edited them by putting different clothes on us, and added an umbrella:)

Stylish boy!

Grandma Deana (my mom) knit Gavin this polo shirt. It looks darling on him!

24th of July

We had a really nice 24th. I started off the morning going to my parent's house and having a neighborhood breakfast with them. It was really good! That afternoon we headed out to Tooele to visit my Grandma and Aunt and Uncle and we were suppose to have a picnic at the park and play croquet, but the pouring rain stopped us from doing that, so we just had lunch at my Grandma's house and sat around and visited. Later that evening, we had a bbq at our house with some friends.

Gavin and Braxton

Braxton loves coming over to play with Gavin and the kitty. As soon as he walks into the house, he makes a bee-line to the backyard to find the kitty. Which, by the way, we found out the kitty is actually a boy, not a girl, so the name Zelda really doesn't work out. So now his name is Clinx. Braxton's favorite thing is to sit in Gavin's bumbo, or have Gavin sit in the Bumbo and snuggle up next to him. Here is some blanket, Gavin!
All snuggled up.

Oregon Vacation

While you all were experiencing 100 degree weather, I was in the beautiful state of Oregon enjoying 60-70 degree weather, and even had some rain! It was a very enjoyable trip. Gavin and I went out there with my parents to visit family and friends.Sunday
We started our long drive to Oregon. Gavin was a really good baby in the car. He thought it was fun to look over and see me...it was a little bit of a distraction though, because he had a hard time sleeping with me back there! We stopped in Boise and had dinner with a friend of the family, and then spent the night at a hotel.

Monday

We left early in the morning and headed across the state of Oregon. We spent the night at my mom's cousin's house in Sweet Home. They live right up in the mountains and have a beautiful view, as you can tell.

Loves hanging out with Grandpa
My mom's cousin, Myrna and her husband Al

Tuesday

We headed out to the Oregon Coast early. We stayed at my mom's friend's house, which is right on the coast. It was beautiful there! We just had to take a quick 5 minute walk...and we were there!
Gavin loved the fresh air and hearing the waves...

and being held by Grandpa....He loved it so much, he fell asleep.

Isn't it beautiful!
He woke up after a while and talked with Grandma

Wednesday
We took another walk down to the coast again. We went down when the tide was out, so we were able to see a lot of starfish, clams and sea urchins. I couldn't believe how big they were! Gavin, again took a nice long nap.

They made me touch the starfish, which I didn't really want to do...

Karen and David Force

Later on Wednesday, we traveled up the coast to Seaside, where we have a condo that overlooks the beach. It was nice to stay in our own place for a change. Our balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean.

Thursday
After it stopped raining, we took a walk on the beach at Seaside. It was very windy, so we didn't stay out there long. You don't go to the Oregon Coast to go swimming in the water...it is too cold, so that is why there is no pictures of us in the water!

Our condo

Later that day we traveled to Portland and went to the Oregon Gardens. We took a nice bus ride around the gardens. That night we stayed at my mom's brother's house and had a bbq with some of her other siblings and their families.

Friday
We went to "The End of the Oregon Trail" interpretive center. That was really enjoyable to see a video and hear different stories about those who make the trek to Oregon.

Here I am making flour...
Aren't we cute?

That evening we went to another one of my mom's brother's house. He was getting married on Saturday, so it was very crazy there! It was fun to see the kids. It has been a while since I have seen them! Nicole and Noah use to live with us for a couple years back when they were little, so it was really fun to see them growing up!
Nicole LOVED to hold Gavin.
Uncle Bill was a good sport and played games with Nicole and Noah.

Saturday
My mom's brother, Jason, got married. He married Bunny, who is really good for him and the kids. You can tell they are very happy together.

Sunday
After the wedding, we traveled across the state and stayed with another one of my mom's brother's in Pendleton. It was nice and relaxing, especially after the craziness of the wedding! On Sunday, we packed our bags and headed home.

It was a nice trip, but I am glad to be home and have my own bed to sleep in, and to have a husbnad back!
