3 Month Old Addie!

Our sweet Adalyn is 3 months old!  I am just loving this stage!  She is still my newborn baby, but she is sleeping so much better and her cute little personality is coming out.  She has a sweet little smile that I get a lot.  Right now her favorite place to nap is her baby swing.  I can put her in it, and she can sleep for hours!  She does sleep well in her crib too.  She LOVES her baby bouncer.  EVERY time I put her in it, she gets this big smile on her face that seems to say "Oh!  There are my little friends!"  She still has LOTS of hair, and hasn't seemed to lose any (yay!)  It is long enough I was able to put it in a little ponytail.  Oh, I'm going to have so much fun with that hair!  She is so special and we are so glad she is in our family!

Summer already?

It sure felt like summer a couple weekends ago!  We had the sprinkler on, pool out and two happy boys!

Happy 5th Birthday Gavin!

Gavin is now 5 years old!  He had a fun birthday party with his friends and another one with his family.  We went "Construction" themed and he loved it!

My cute Birthday Boy!  He is just like his dad and is a little engineer.  Lately he has really been into electronics and likes to find any cords he can and hook them up in the computers or the tv's (hmm, I wonder who he sounds like?  Casey?) He has an old laptop that has a broken screen, so it doesn't work, but he doesn't care and carries that thing around everywhere plugging it in to whatever he can find.  So, we thought we'd get him his own little laptop.  He was so excited to finally get one of his own that works!  He also got a little camera, and I'll have to upload some of his funny pictures he has taken with that!

Spring Break

I had a little taste of what summer would be like during this Spring Break.  We had such good weather, I wanted to get out and enjoy it.  On Monday, Casey went with us to Thanksgiving Point, Children's Garden, and we spent the afternoon there.  On Tuesday, we took a walk to the Highland Glen and fed the ducks and played on the playground.  On Wednesday, we went to Thanksgiving Point, again, (putting good use to my pass!) and got many beautiful pictures with the tulips.  Then Thursday the weather turned cold, so we went shopping to H&M (one of my favorite stores!) and then Friday we went to Tooele for my Grandma's funeral, which was still a nice day.  It was a great week and summer can't get here fast enough!

No, my dad doesn't beat my mom.  She slipped at work and broke her wrist and her elbow...keep in mind they are moving and she is having to pack up their whole house!  Not the best timing!

I love this new part to Thanksgiving Point.  They will have life size statues of Christ all over. It was so neat to see the few they already have done.

This was our walk in the Children's Garden...

Adalyn at 2 months

We have made it past the tough first 2 months! Adalyn was a little cuddler and did not like to sleep in her own bed. I tried to lay her down in her crib and she would cry and cry. Finally, at her 2 month check up I asked the doctor if I could lay her on her tummy to sleep, and he said "unofficially" I could, so I did and now I have so much more freedom! She sleeps in her crib for naps and has slept much longer at night! Last night we got 8 hours!

She is a pretty serious child, but I have finally been able to get a lot of smiles from her and she even talks to me. She is so much fun!

At her 2 month check-up she weighed 9lbs 4 oz and is 22 inches long. She is my smallest baby. I was surprised by that, because she seems pretty chubby to me. She even has these little rolls on her legs! She is growing up so fast, I wish it would slow down a little bit.

Spring pictures

My parents are moving from their house in a few weeks and so I needed to get over there and get some pictures of my kids in their beautiful yard.

My boys will really miss the fish pond...Gavin even has a fish picked out that is "his".

Easter Morning

We woke up to some sad news on Easter Morning. My sweet Grandma Spence passed away. I have always been close to my Grandma and have wonderful memories of her. Over the last 9 months, she has been living with my parents and at a rehab center near here, so it has been great to be able to see her often. I will miss her very much, but I am grateful that she passed away in her sleep, with hopefully no pain.

She spent many years taking care of my Grandpa, and her mother, my Great Grandma, and I am so happy she can now be reunited with them. I am so grateful for the Plan of Salvation and the knowledge I have that we can still see our loved ones again. I am also grateful for the sealing ordinance to be sealed with our families forever. I am also grateful for my Savior who died for us and made this all possible.
And just because they are so cute, here are some Easter pictures...Kyson was also dressed up, but didn't want to get his pictures taken...too busy playing!

Happy Easter!

We had a fun Easter! It is probably one of my most favorite holidays because of the fun traditions we do.

Decorating eggs

Egg hunt at Discovery Park

Kyson was a pro! He was getting eggs so fast! And if you ask him how the egg hunt was, he'll say "I was fast!"

Poor Gav didn't get as many eggs because when he found out there was a "golden egg", all he wanted to do was look for that, and didn't pick up any eggs. Luckily a nice girl gave her some of his eggs.
Egg hunt with Casey's family

His family goes crazy with candy and toys. There are candy and toys scattered EVERYWHERE!
Gavin had quite the loot this time

Can't forget Adalyn, she was there too...
