Losee Family 2014 year end update

Another year has come and is almost gone.  I feel like this year has been such a blur!  Here is a little bit about what my kids have been up to!

Liam-
Liam has been working hard on sitting up.  He started sitting up around 9 months, but it has taken him about 3 months to feel confident and strong enough to sit independently for a long period of time.  He now is doing great!  He is seeing 4 different therapists now, developmental specialist to help with his congnitive  development, vision therapist, physical therapist and now an occupational therapist.  The OT is helping us with his fine motor skills like eating finger foods and using a spoon.  He has been doing really good with holding crackers and eating those and trying to grab the spoon and put it in his mouth when eating.  I'm so grateful for all the support we are getting to help our little Liam!

Adalyn-
Oh, Adalyn, Adalyn...she is quite the funny girl!  Adalyn is almost 3!  She has a strong personality and we love it!  She has an obsession for Cinderella and has a million Cinderella dolls and she loves them all!  Adalyn loves books, especially ones that have Cinderella and other princesses.  She is a Curious George fan and could watch him all day!  She loves her brothers, but Kyson is her favorite.  I'm so glad I have my little girl to do all the fun girl things with!

Kyson-
Kyson LOVES LOVES LOVES his baby brother.   He is always in Liam's face talking to him.  He always wants to hold him too.  If you can't find Kyson, just find where Liam is, and Kyson is sure to be there!  Kyson is 5 and started Kindergarten.  He is learning and having fun.  He is a little chatty one though!  He loves going to soccer and scored a couple of goals this season!  Life is always exciting with Kyson around!

 Gavin-
Gavin Jay is my sweet oldest.  He is such a responsible good boy.  His teacher says he is the most well behaved, hardworking boy.  Gavin has had some struggles academically and so he has been getting some extra help in resource as well as tutoring.  I really have seen some improvements and he seems to be getting more and more confident.  He has found a love for swimming and is doing soccer as well.  He is also learning piano and has been doing a great job there!  I'm so grateful to have this sweet boy as our oldest and great example for his siblings!

Christmas 2014 was a success!

Christmas Baby!

Here is my Christmas baby!  Liam is now weighing 12lbs 8 oz....he hasn't been gaining weight like he needs to because of the hole in his heart is making him work harder, so we have been trying to up his calories.  He has chocolate milk every day, butter to everything and I'm trying to stuff him as much as possible!  He is sitting up now like a pro!  He is such a joy in our family.  So happy!

Disneyland!

December 1-5 we were able to take a fun trip to Disneyland!  We had planned this trip a year and half ago and started saving our money to take the kids.  Then, Liam was born and a lot of that money had gone to pay for medical expenses.  But through some help of family, finally getting medicaid, we were able to still make this trip possible!  It was such a great time to be with family and hopefully help create some fun memories for my kids.  Liam had his birthday while we were there and turned 1!!  What a great place to celebrate!  We ate at the Thunder Ranch BBQ to celebrate and they sang to him and gave him a cupcake with a candle for him to blow out.  Adalyn got to meet Cinderella, Snow White, Ariel, Anna and Elsa.  She was star struck seeing Cinderella.  She just kept touching her dress and repeated "Rella, Rella, Rella"  That was so fun.  Gavin and Kyson loved being able to ride all the rides and spending time with their cousins.  We were able to go with Doug and Autumn and their family and my parents. Here are just a few pictures of our trip!

Getting stronger!

This has been Liam's favorite toy.  I think it has really helped him with his core body strength though because he has been sitting up much longer now!  He was able to sit up for a few minutes and still balance while playing with toys!  He is doing so good!

Recital

We had our recital tonight.  I was so impressed at how well all my students did.  They all had their songs memorized! Piano has been a good thing for Gavin.  He has struggled with short term memory and I think piano has really helped him with that.  He has had to work so hard to have his song memorized but he did it and did great!

Halloween

We had a great (and warm!) Halloween!  We had a pirate, and army man, Cinderella and a little bear.  They were sure cute and had a great day!

Day in the canyon!

We had a fun day in the canyon today!  We had a picnic by the river and the kids had fun throwing rocks in the river and then we headed farther up and walked around Cascade Springs.  I love spending time with these cuties!
