Putting up the Christmas lights

This is our 3rd winter in our home, and we bought Christmas lights to put on the house back when we first moved in....and this is the first time we have actually put the lights up. Good work Casey! Gavin is helping

Standing boy!

Gavin loves to stand up next to anything! That is how we survived church on Sunday. It was the end of the day, and he was getting fussy, so he stood up holding on to my chair, and he was entertained for the rest of the meeting. Doesn't he look too small to be able to stand on his own already?

Pick me up!

Anytime Gavn wants to be picked up, he stretches his arms out wide and rotates his wrists, and waits to be picked up. Sometimes he is more patient and sometimes he whines until he is picked up....

Gavin crawling!

Gavin recently started crawling. He doesn't crawl very much yet, just a few little "steps", and then his weak little arms get tired, and he can't hold himself any longer. He will only crawl if there is a toy that he needs to get to, and as soon as he is in arms reach, he'll go flat on his tummy and reach for the toy. He is such a big boy!

Friend party

We had a friend party because our friend Shandi was in town, so we tried to get everyone together. It was fun to hang around and get caught up on everything! This is the first time we have had all the babies together, and it was fun to see them playing with each other!

The girls...Shandi, Jess, Autumn, McKenna, Debbie, BrynnBrielle (almost 7 months), Carter (7 months), Gavin (7 months), Abigail (8 months) and Braxton (2 1/2).

Impressive Jared!

Go BYU!!!!

We got some great tickets to the BYU vs. U of U game. We were at the 10 yard line, 15 rows up. We were right there when we saw the big play that won BYU the game! We went with Autumn and Doug, and it was so fun to gloat to Autumn, who of course was rooting for the U. Autumn and Doug were sitting somewhere else, and saw L. Tom Perry! He teased her for rooting for the U, and shook her and Doug's hands. It was a pretty boring game, except for the last 5 minutes, and that totally made up for the slow game! Look how close we were!!
Just before the big play!

Black Friday

I was one of those insane shoppers who went Christmas shopping bright and early on Black Friday. We wanted to get digital picture frames that were on sale at Wal-mart for $50....great deal! We got to Wal-mart around 4:45 and sat and waited next to the digital picture frames until it was 5:00. I got the frames I wanted. We then went to some other places and found a few good deals!

That day, after taking a little nap, we put up our Christmas decorations. Casey's parents gave us an early Christmas presant...a beautiful nativity scene. That was a lot of fun to set up too.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving! We started our Thanksgiving by having our own Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday. I think the best part of making a Thanksgiving turkey is the leftovers! We'll be having those for weeks!

On Thursday, we had our next Thanksgiving dinner at Casey's Aunt's house. It was nice to be around family. Gavin had fun playing with the other little babies that were there.

On Friday, we had our third Thanksgiving dinner at my parent's house, and tonight (Sunday) we are having our last Thanksgiving dinner at Autumn and Doug's.

I think this is my favorite holiday of the year, because you don't have to buy gifts for anyone, you are with family, and you have lots of food! I am grateful for many things. I am thankful fora wonderful, supportive husband who makes me laugh, a darling little boy who makes me so happy, a great family, a nice warm home, great jobs to support us, and most of all, my Savior.

7 months

This was a really fast month for us! People ask me how old he is, and I am still saying he is 6 months. Gavin is getting really close to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees, and rocks back and forth, but then he goes flat. He has no problems getting around though, he can scoot and roll his way to anything he wants. He is also starting to stand really good when he holds on to something. Every month I do a little photo shoot to try to get some pictures of him...these are the latest.

Cute little cousins

I watched my niece and nephews this morning. They are all such cute little kids! They all love coming over to see the kitty and the puppy. Little Emma was passed around all morning! Damon (4), Braxton (2 1/2), Kylie (1 1/2), Gavin (7 months)

Amazing mom!

My mom just finished a sweater she has been knitting for me. It turned out beautiful! My mom picked up knitting a few years ago when my nephew, Damon, was born. Her first project was his blessing outfit, and she has had a project going ever since. One day, I might be just as talented!

Lazy Emma

It was such a nice day, Casey and I decided to take Gavin and the dogs for a walk. Emma didn't like being pulled by a leash AT ALL! After fighting her, we decided to put her in the stoller with Gavin. He thought it was fun to pull her hair, and she didn't like that either. So, we put her in the bottom of the stroller in the basket, and she liked that!

MY favorite time of the day...

My favorite time of the day is when I set Gavin down by his toy box and he plays with his toys, and I get to read, play my guitar, or just lay and watch him. He does such a good job playing with his toys. More often then not though, he usually ends up on his tummy and is trying to get to my book, or my guitar, or whatever I am doing!

My new design

Thanks to Ashley Becar for giving us the idea to change our blogs! Autumn and I spent the weekend "scrapbooking" on our blogs, and we were pretty happy by the results! If any of you are interested, visit http://sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com/ for directions.

Rubber ducky, your the one!

Gavin's favorite time of the day is bathtime. He loves his rubber ducky, and can play with it for a long time. Sometimes, he plays so long, by the time I am ready to wash him, the water has gotten cold! It is fun to see him play with his duck. It always slips out of his hands, and so he will spend a long time trying to get it back. Then he gets all excited once he catches his ducky.

He forgot about his ducky for a second because he saw me with the camera. Reaching for his ducky...
Almost....
Yay! He got it!

All you can eat wings and sticky fingers!

We look foreward to November every year, because that is when Wingers does their "All you can eat wings and sticky fingers". Casey can put down over 20....which is impressive, because their Freakin' Amazing sauce has quite the zing! We went tonght with Autumn and Doug, Jess and Jared, Matt and Liz, Mat and my parents. We love Wingers! Such a big boy sitting in a high chair all by himself! He was really eyeing those sticky fingers!
Gavin and Brielle just love looking...or poking each other!

Field Trip

We took a field trip today to see "Peter Pan" at American Fork High School. It was a great play! I was very impressed by the acting, and the singing! It was a 2 hour play, and I was really worried if it would keep my little 1st grader's attention, but it did! They were all so entertained! If you have a chance, go see it!

Scootin' Gavin

When Gavin wants to get to a toy, he gets on his belly and tucks his legs under him and starts to scoot his way to it. Before you know it, he'll be crawling! What a big boy!

Losee family pictures

We had family pictures taken with Casey's family. I really liked how these pictures turned out! Gavin was good, my hair turned out right, and the weather was great!
