Good news, bad news

We had some good news and bad news at our doctor appointments this week.  On Tuesday, we had two doctor appointments at Primary Children's in Riverton.  I love that they have that extension there, so much closer!  I love how it looks like a shopping mall of doctors offices.  There is a big waiting room down the middle, and then on the sides are the different specialists' offices.  We visited our Cardiologist there, and then walked down the hallway to the ophthalmologist.   Good news is Liam's eyes are looking great!  We put contacts in both eyes, and so he can now see!!  We have a vision therapist coming tomorrow to help him learn how to use his eyes now.  He is enjoying his new world around him, but he hasn't been tracking objects, or made eye contact with me yet.  Hopefully soon!  Here he is playing in his little toy.  He can lay here for a while just watching all the colors around him!

The not so great news is that he still has Pulminary Hypertension, so that means he's not off his oxygen.  They will check him again in three more months.  Darn!  The cardiologist didn't hear the small VSD, but he could hear the medium sized ASD.  Not the news we were hoping to hear, but it isn't terrible either!

Thanks for keeping us updated on Liam. I love to see all of the pictures you posted and your news--the good with the bad. You have a great family with a lot of support. These special children bring so much love to those around them. We keep you in our prayers.

I think we are so fortunate around northern UT to have PCMC here. SO many amazing dr's doing amazing things! He is such a sweet little guy. Hope things keep going well with his vision and I hope you have better news at your next visits. Keeping him in our prayers!

Give your little guy some more time to grow and I'll be that hole closes right up. Keep the faith in Dr. Day, this guy knows what he's doing. Promise.
