Merry Christmas!

We had a really good Christmas. Yesterday for Christmas Eve we had dinner with Casey's family and then later went to my parent's house and had our gift exchange. We got our crib for the baby, vinal lettering to decorate the wall, expansion for Settlers of Catan-Cities and Knights, and more. Then on Christmas we were able to sleep in and then go to Casey's family for our gift exchange. We got from them some shelves for our garage so we can organize it a little better. It has been driving me nuts, so I'm excited to get those put up! We also got a blanket, fondue pot and more.

The highlight was being able to talk to Logan for about an hour. He is doing very well and it was fun to hear about his mission. He is in Brazil, and right now it is summer there, and he is really missing the snow.

It was a nice day to relax with family and enjoy each others company.

Christmas Parties

We have had quite a few Christmas parties over the last couple of weeks. Last Friday we went out to dinner with Alpine Echo, Saterday we had a party with Casey's family and then later that night we had another party with our friends. The pictures are from Casey's family Christmas party. We had it at the Warnicks, and since they sold their farm and land, they decided to have a hay ride around the farm, so we can all have a last good bye. It was really fun!

It's a boy!

We just found out today that we are going to be having a boy! We are really excited. For a while Casey kept saying that it was going to be a boy, and I kept saying that it was going to be a girl. I guess Casey won! I have been feeling him move for a couple of weeks now, and that has been a lot of fun.

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was really relaxing. This year we went to my parent's for dinner. I was in charge of bringing this yummy creamed corn my Grandma always made, and also pumpkin pie. It was the first time I made pumpkin pie from scratch, and it turned out really good! We had a great meal, lots of sleeping, and game playing.

Our new car!

Last week we went and got ourselves a new car. Both of our other cars have been so unreliable, so we thought it was about time to get a new car. It is a Nissan Maxima, and we are having so much fun with it!

Halloween

I had such an enjoyable Halloween with my class. They all came dressed up so cute! It was fun for me to dress up too, I went as a cowgirl. We had a fun Halloween party that my room mom's put together, so I was just able to relax and enjoy the party. The traditional Halloween walk was a lot of fun too. It was a fun day! If only all days could be filled with parties and candy!

Fall leaves

In the summer, it is really nice to have our two large trees in the backyard for shade. In the Fall, it isn't so nice! We have so many leaves in our backyard, it is driving me nuts because the dogs just track it all in the house. Casey had fun the other day playing with the dogs in the leaves. He kept throwing them in the leaves, and they had fun with that!

Aaron's baptism

A couple of weeks ago Aaron was baptized. Aaron is a boy who has been living with my parents for a couple of years and has grown to be a part of our family. He asked Casey to baptize him, which is a really neat thing for Casey. The baptism was really neat. He had a lot of support from friends and neighbors.

Midway

I had a fun time going to Midway with my family to stay at the condo out there. This condo just recently was finished, so I think we'll be taking a few little trips out there to stay. It was just a short little visit. I left right after school on Wednesday. That evening we had dinner and spent some time at the pool. The next morning after breakfast, we went and took a tour of some craters. I had no idea that there were craters in Midway. They are like the ones you see at Yellowstone. We were able to go down inside on of them, and that was really neat to see. That afternoon, we headed back. It was a short trip, but it was a good little get away.
