New bikes!

My mom and dad got this bike carrier for me as an early birthday gift, so we had to get a bike to go along with it. My pink bike from Jr. High just wasn't cutting it anymore. We also found a bike for Casey, which was suppose to be his Father's Day present...a little late. We weren't going to get a bike for Gavin, because he had a hand-me-down trike, but it just happened to break the day we were going to buy our bikes, so he got one too. Yes, that is Gavin eating Kyson's hand in the background...

Cake in 10 minutes!

You'll need a "Rice Cooker Plus" with Pampered Chef to make this cake. All you need to do is make one box of chocolate cake, and then add about 6 spoonfuls of frosting on top of the cake mix, put it in the microwave for 10 minutes, and it's done! It doesn't look beautiful, but it tastes amazing.

Casey thought he'd add a little more frosting...and this is what happened....

It looks aweful, but still tastes amazing.

Starting young....

We have been working on colors with Gavin, so he has been having fun "coloring" on the computer. He caught on really fast on how to use the mouse...must get that from his dad. Don't worry, he won't be playing Dota anytime soon.

mmm...fingers

Kyson found his fingers. He uses them to fall asleep...which has been a little lifesaver.

Camping!

We had a ward camp out last night at Mutual Dell. It was so much fun! Gavin had a blast running around, getting dirty. We had yummy tin foil dinners, good socializing, and tried to get a good night's rest. Gavin was too excited to go to sleep. He loved sharing a bed with mom and dad, and kept trying to play games or just jabber. So after 11:00, he finally fell asleep. Kyson had the best rest out of all of us. As soon as we layed him down, he was out, and didn't wake up until morning. Despite our lack of sleep, we might just try to do this again!

Having breakfast up at the lodge. Yummy pancakes and omlets. Here is my good little eater.
Me going down the zip line..so much fun!

Happy 4th of July!

I love the 4th of July! We have such fun family traditions. We start off the morning early going to the Balloon Launch, then spend the afternoon relaxing at my parent's, while the kids play in the pool, and then the evening with Casey's family having a barbecue and go watch the fireworks. It was so fun to watch Gavin get so excited about everything. He kept asking for "more".

We go really early to the fireworks, so while Casey was throwing a frisby with his brothers, Gavin tried joining in the fun and kept throwing his frisby.
Grandma broke out the snacks, so Gavin and Casey are relaxing while enjoying them.

Eating his chocolate pop rocks
Gavin had fun watching the fireworks. He had to sit with everyone, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa.

Kyson is 4 months!

I was watching Kyson jump in his Johnny Jumper, and I realized that little Kyson is not an infant any more. He is now 4 months old and learning new things every day.

At 4 months, Kyson:

-Weighs 12 lbs (under 5 percentile)
-Is 24 inches long (between 5-10 percentile)
-Doesn't use a binkie anymore, but sucks on his two middle fingers to get asleep
-Sleeps through anything! Gavin and Kyson share a room, and Kyson will sleep through Gavin playing his toys, Gavin trying to climb in Kyson's crib, Gavin crying...
-Sleeps 10 hours a night, and takes 3-4 naps a day, usually about 1-2 hours long
-Loves the pool
-Loves sitting in the bumbo
-Is starting to hold and play with toys
-LOVES his brother.
