Christmas 2009

We had a WONDERFUL Christmas! We hope you all did too!

Christmas Eve Eve Gavin and Kyson got to open their first gift, which are pajama's. We wore our pajamas all day Christmas Eve and stayed home to watch Christmas movies and have a big Christmas dinner and then later we drove around and saw the lights around town. After seeing the lights, we went to my parent's and had a high quality play about the Nativity. Our stars for the evening were played as folllowed:

Gavin-The Wiseman (yes, the wiseman is giving the Baby Jesus his puppy, two trucks, and a box that is suppose to have gold.)
Kyson: A sheep
Braxton: Joseph
Damon: Wiseman
Kylie: Mary
William: Baby Jesus
On Christmas Day we had a lot of fun watching Gavin get excited about all his new gifts.

Loves his big truck from Grandma and Grandpa Losee
We are so grateful for spirit of Christmas. A time to think of others and to give. A time to reflect on our Savior and for the most important gift that he gave us. A time to be with family and those we love. Merry Christmas to everyone!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from my two cuties!

Gingerbread House

We made our gingerbread house the other day. I don't know how much of a gingerbread house we are going to have before christmas, because someone keeps stealing candy and icing off of the house!

Future Hellians

We had a fun Christmas Party with our friends and their families. JD was so nice to host it in his new home. It is amazing how fast all the little kids are growing! I loved seeing them all play with each other.

Kyson is 9 months!

Kyson is 9 months old!

At 9 months, Kyson:

-weighs 15.4 lbs.
-is 25 inches long
-stands holding on to something
-crawls like a champ
-laughs when he is tickled
-eats EVERYTHING he is given.
-his favorite food is a bananna cookie. He gets so excited when he sees me bringing it to him.
-loves to play with toys.
-makes a kissing sound when he wants a kiss
-imitates sounds

We love our little Kyson and are so happy he is in our family!

Snow!!

We love that the snow is here! We got bundled up and went to Autumn's and played in the snow with Braxton. Kyson just sat there. I have never seen him so straight faced. He didn't cry, so I think he liked it. Gavin was so funny and just liked walking in it and eating it.

Santa!

Santa made a little stop at our ward Christmas party. Gavin was really nervous, so I wasn't allowed to leave his side. The only way I got him this close was because I said that he would get a candy cane. Candy always works for this kid. He did tell Santa that he wanted "trucks" (which he can now say the right way!!) and "trains". Kyson loved sitting on Santa's lap and touch his beard.

Cute Boys

Gavin and Kyson are always making us laugh. Here are a couple of funny things they did that I caught on camera. Of course, it probably is only funny to me.

I gave Kyson a bottle, and he was laying on the couch drinking and Gavin climbed up right next to him and started drinking his sippy. It makes me lauh how Gavin tries to be like Kyson. Giving the dogs a bath. Look how big Kyson looks standing up next to the tub! Gavin is always a big help. He is always right by my side helping me clean, vacuum, dust, etc. On Sunday at church he was entertained for most of Sacrament Meeting by cleaning our seat with a baby wipe. He must be related to Grandma Deana.

My little protege

I was given this quarter size violin, in exchange for teaching piano lessons. The little violin was the perfect size for Gavin. We had our first "lesson" and he did really good. He knows how to hold the violin, and knows where to play the bow on the strings. Enjoy his beautiful song!

Choo! Choo!

The AF library had a fun thing going last weekend where they had some trains set up and kids could come look and play with them. We thought it would be a fun thing to take Gavin to, because he LOVES trains right now. He was so excited the whole time, and I had a sad boy when it was time to leave. They have it going on again this Friday and Saturday for anyone who is interested! We'll be there again!

Brushing teeth

This is what Kyson does every morning while I am getting ready. He sits in the sink and brushes his teeth.

Reading

I just brought home a couple of truck books from the library for Gavin. He could spend hours looking at all the pictures of the "Big Trucks!"

Kyson is 8 months!

We have really seen Kysons true personality come out this month! He is going to be our teaser and copycat. When Gavin is crying for some reason, Kyson will copy him, and it sounds like he is making fun of him, and then Gavin gets mad at Kyson and says, "Baby! Stop!" I can see it when they are older. Gavin will be getting mad about something, Kyson will make fun of him for getting mad, and then Gavin will get mad at him for making fun of him. I am not ready for that! But for now, it is pretty humerous.

At 8 months, Kyson:
-Crawles EVERYWHERE!
-Says "dadadada"
-Randomly does a high pitch scream, just for fun.
-He is very adventerous. He has fallen down the stairs a handful of times (you'll see his little bruise) You'd think either we would learn to put the baby gate up, or he'll learn to stop falling down!
-Loves cheerios
-Has been introduced to vegetables, and loves them. His favorite is probably green beans. He has been eating a few fruits, and loves them as well. He loves his food!
-He was sleeping 10-12 hours a night, until the time changed, so hopefully we'll get back to that schedule. He takes 2-3 naps a day.
-Loves to play with Gavin

I love this boy!

Gavin is now POTTY TRAINED!!! It is amazing how all of a sudden, he decided to go potty in the toilet and hasn't had an accident for 2 weeks now! He is such a big boy and I am so proud of him!

Happy Halloween!

I think Halloween is Gavin's favorite holiday of all. He seemed to have so much fun with everything we did. A couple of days ago, we went to Doug and Autumn's to carve pumpkins, and Gavin did most of the cleaning of the pumpkin. It was awesome! I didn't have to do a single thing!

On Friday, we went trick or treating downtown at the stores. It was soooo cold, but Gavin had fun going in with Braxton and his little friend Brielle.

This year was so much fun with Gavin trick-or-treating, because he understood what was going on. If it were up to him, he would eat candy all night! Kyson was just cute...he also wanted the candy, but he's just a little too little for that!

Braxton and Gavin with their finished pumpkins!

I dressed up as a witch for school. It was a fun day!
Trick-or-treating down AF Main Street
Kyson dressed up as a cute little chicken.

Gavin was my little froggy.

"troitreat!" Visiting Grandma Deana and Grandpa Bill

Visiting Grandma Barbara and Grandpa Floyd. This was a big pumpkin Barbara grew!

Our jack-o-lantern lit up. Highlight of Gavin's night.
