Big 8 year old!

 Happy Birthday dear Gavin!  Gavin turned 8 today.  8!  He's such a sweet good boy and I'm so glad he's my oldest to be a good example for his siblings.  He's such a hard worker.  He works hard at school, he works hard in the yard, works hard building Legos, works hard at being a good friend.  He has the best laugh and laughs at everything!  We love him!

 He requested (for maybe the 3rd time) a cake with trucks on it

A day in the life...

 of the Losee's...here are some little moments I captured through the day.

Liam loves sitting and playing with toys

Gavin is so good at staying busy playing with toys.  One evening he wanted to sit and play in his room with Liam watching.  He built a couple of boats with Legos for Liam.

And here is "Daddy's Little Side-kick"!  He just got his replacement contact today, but after talking to his eye doctor, we are going to go back to glasses because his eyes don't cross as bad, as you can see in this picture they cross quite a bit!

 Oh I love this!  He loves loves loves books!

Good news...and not so good news

Well, I'll start with the not so good news...we lost another contact!  Ugh...it drives me crazy!  They are so expensive and it takes so long for us to get replacement ones.  Luckily we got these cute little glasses to wear and he does so good with them!

The good news is that he had his 15 month well child check this week and he now weighs 14 lbs 6 oz!!  He has gained a pound in a month so what we have been doing has been working!  He gets a pediasure every morning and chocolate milk all his other bottles.  Man, life is rough to be a 1 year old!  He's doing really great!

Spring is here!

 We got to enjoy a little bit of spring today!  It has been a pretty mild winter, but today was by far the nicest day so far this year!  Kyson worked on riding his bike without the training wheels and is doing really good at it!  Come on spring!

Peek-a-boo!

Liam LOVES this bowl and always plays peek-a-boo with it!  He will put it up to cover his face and yell into it, and then pull it down with a big smile on his face!

Obsessions

My kids get pretty obsessed with certain toys.

Kyson's obsession isn't really a toy but it's his blanket.  It was the blanket that went with the crib set when he was about 1 and sleeps with it about every night since.  He is really into beyblades right now and has this little car he says is his favorite.

 
 Adalyn LOVES LOVES LOVES  Cinderella, or "Lella"  At her birthday party she squealed when she got a Cinderella.  She's also really into dress-up and loves to be Cinderella or Snow White.  Belle is probably another favorite, only because Belle's dress is yellow and Adalyn LOVES yellow.

 Gavin gets really attached to certain toys.  He had an old "puppy" he would sleep with and carry around all the time, but when Liam was born he gave it to him.  It was the sweetest thing ever.  He has always been a truck boy.  He has a corner in his room where all his special trucks are and I find him in there playing with them often.

 Liam loves to play with his toys and can sit for a long time playing.  This is one of his favorites and they are light enough for him to bang together which has been a big step for him.  He also loves beads, wrapping paper, slinky and balls.

Losee Family 2014 year end update

Another year has come and is almost gone.  I feel like this year has been such a blur!  Here is a little bit about what my kids have been up to!

 

Liam-
Liam has been working hard on sitting up.  He started sitting up around 9 months, but it has taken him about 3 months to feel confident and strong enough to sit independently for a long period of time.  He now is doing great!  He is seeing 4 different therapists now, developmental specialist to help with his congnitive  development, vision therapist, physical therapist and now an occupational therapist.  The OT is helping us with his fine motor skills like eating finger foods and using a spoon.  He has been doing really good with holding crackers and eating those and trying to grab the spoon and put it in his mouth when eating.  I'm so grateful for all the support we are getting to help our little Liam!


Adalyn-
Oh, Adalyn, Adalyn...she is quite the funny girl!  Adalyn is almost 3!  She has a strong personality and we love it!  She has an obsession for Cinderella and has a million Cinderella dolls and she loves them all!  Adalyn loves books, especially ones that have Cinderella and other princesses.  She is a Curious George fan and could watch him all day!  She loves her brothers, but Kyson is her favorite.  I'm so glad I have my little girl to do all the fun girl things with!

Kyson-
Kyson LOVES LOVES LOVES his baby brother.   He is always in Liam's face talking to him.  He always wants to hold him too.  If you can't find Kyson, just find where Liam is, and Kyson is sure to be there!  Kyson is 5 and started Kindergarten.  He is learning and having fun.  He is a little chatty one though!  He loves going to soccer and scored a couple of goals this season!  Life is always exciting with Kyson around!

 Gavin-
Gavin Jay is my sweet oldest.  He is such a responsible good boy.  His teacher says he is the most well behaved, hardworking boy.  Gavin has had some struggles academically and so he has been getting some extra help in resource as well as tutoring.  I really have seen some improvements and he seems to be getting more and more confident.  He has found a love for swimming and is doing soccer as well.  He is also learning piano and has been doing a great job there!  I'm so grateful to have this sweet boy as our oldest and great example for his siblings!
